RGB to Linear Converter - Octane C4D

This has been deprecated - Octane does feature a way to copy the proper RGB values now: you have to click the RGB sliders while holding your hand behind the back and squinting one eye. I can't remember much less Google it, but it's there.

For everyone else like me, this free file exists.

If you are working with RGB values (or hexcodes) that have to be accurate - like a client's colour scheme- when you work in Linear, the RGB values will be wrong in Octane. Why? Because the RGB values aren't being scaled correctly to fit a Linear workflow.

ACES colospace mode has a conversion button that mostly works, but nothing happens when you switch to Linear colour from RGB.

Ahmet Oktar provided a Python Xpresso node to convert the correct RGB value to the corresponding Linear RGB values. This file is just an update for C4D 2023/2024 with working Python
